River of Words - 2003

A regional competition of the River of Words was sponsored for a second year by the SRWP. The program, created to promote watershed awareness, literacy, and the arts, received more than 257 entries from K-12 students within the 27,000 square mile Sacramento River watershed. Entries were judged both on the national level and at the regional level. Winners earn a T-shirt and River of Words publications.
