The Sacramento River Discovery Center (Discovery Center) is a private non-profit information education center located on 488 acres managed jointly by the U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, and
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The Discovery Center is adjacent to the Red Bluff Diversion Dam. The visitor's center has a 7-acre demonstration pond, a two-acre native/drought tolerant plant garden, and 40-acre oak woodland. Site facilities include a campground
and natural resource training facility. The Center’s goal is to change the world, one person at a time, and to develop a populous who better understands, appreciates, and manages natural resource systems.

- Water management and research with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation
- Fisheries and wildlife in the watershed with U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service
- Training in personal and interpersonal effectiveness using the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People as a guideline
- A 15-mile Sacramento River raft trip with four interpretive stops to reinforce ecosystems understanding and to prepare students to lead this trip with younger students
